Pot of Gold Relay
[FRIDAY 20TH JULY 2007]
On 20th July, members of Lakeside Lincoln Running Club will be taking part in a relay run from Radio Humberside in Hull, to Radio Lincolnshire in Lincoln, a distance of 47 1/2 miles. Not all runners will complete the whole distance, but through a series of relays, the complete distance will be covered.
Funds raised will be split between the BBC Radio Lincolnshire Pot of Gold Appeal, and Project Cornerstone, a charity working with the homelesss in Ghana.
During 2007, local charities from Lincolnshire will be able to apply to the "Pot of Gold" for funding.

We're always keen to welcome people into our club; if you would like to run in or around Lincoln, feel welcome to either just turn up, or if you do feel shy, email us to let us know. Once you've done that, you might have a bit more motivation to come along!
We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7.30pm at Yarborough Leisure Centre, Riseholme Road, Lincoln - see map.
We don't mind if members don't run every day, or every week - many long-serving members don't come every week! It doesn't matter; if you enjoy running, you'll run. It is really that simple sometimes! If you do come along, we will make you feel welcome, and you won't be left behind on your own. We always run in well-lit areas, so there's never a safety issue. If you do enjoy running with us, great, you can do so for a month or so before we start talking about the dreaded "M" word - membership! Subs are usually due around March, and we'll reduce them according to when in the year you do join. See our Membership pages for details.
